This USB converter to RS-232 with TTL level is ideal for debugging purposes on microcontroller circuits. Since most controllers only have TTL signals available at the serial interfaces of processors, this tool is perfectly suited to display these signals on a PC or notebook. The galvanic isolation also protects your processor board to a high degree.
Galvanic isolation not only protects the PC
A galvanic separation ensures a safe, potential-free connection to the PC. This not only protects the stick itself, but also the connected microprocessor circuit.
High transfer rates possible
Due to the fast FTDI chip, the transmission rate of the converter ranges from 50 Baud to 3 MBaud. This can be set by software.
- USB to RS-232 (TTL) converter
- Galvanically isolated up to 500V
- 50 Baud … 3MBaud (software conf.)
- Windows VCP (Virtual COM Port)
- Linux driver included
No more MAX232 needed for debug ports
On how many controllers a MAX232 is only equipped because a serial interface is used for DEBUG messages, but is superfluous in series production. With the USB/RS-232 converter this is no longer necessary. It directly supports TTL levels and can therefore be connected directly to TX,RX and GND of a CPU.
Driver support for Windows, Windows 64 Bit and Linux
This stick is supported by all common operating systems. A Linux driver is also available. With Windows, the converter is integrated directly into the operating system via a VCP driver (virtual COM port). So e.g. the converter can be controlled directly via COM1.
