Ethernet module with 32 optocoupler inputs and 32 relay outputs

The Brühl-based company DEDITEC is expanding its range of I/O modules with the BS-ETH-O32-R32. This module has a total of 32 digital inputs and outputs.
The reliable Ethernet interface (10/100 Mbit) enables sampling rates of up to 1 kHz, making it ideal for industrial use. The module can be accessed either via (W)LAN or the Internet.

The supply voltage can be between 7V and 24V DC. A top-hat rail mount is also provided for quick and easy installation in control cabinets.

Digital inputs (optocouplers)

The digital input channels of the BS-ETH-O32-R32 are designed for a switching voltage of 15-30V (optionally also 5-15V) as standard. In addition, each input channel has its own 16-bit counter to count input events independently. Furthermore, input flip-flops are available to detect rapid state changes between two readout cycles, which can be read out separately via software. With an adjustable input filter (5-255 ms) for the counters and flip-flops, this module allows a counting frequency of up to 100 Hz.

Digital outputs (relays)

The module’s outputs are implemented via 32 galvanically isolated relay outputs. The maximum switching voltage is 36V DC (0.5A, 10 watts), but this can be extended to up to 230V with optional accessories. In addition, timeout protection has been integrated, which automatically switches off the module if it cannot be addressed within a predefined period of time.

Software

The extensive DELIB driver library enables uniform and very simple control of the module under Windows and Linux in the programming languages C/C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, C#, VB.net, Java, or LabView.

Control

Thanks to the open Ethernet protocol, DEDITEC Ethernet products can be easily integrated into existing control systems with Ethernet access in order to communicate with other bus participants.
The module can also be controlled worldwide, either via the integrated web server using an Internet browser or via the free Android™ app I/O-Control using a smartphone/tablet.
DIP switches on the module enable quick configuration of the network settings (DHCP or manual configuration via software).
