RO-USB-STEPPER2 – Digital USB Stepper Module

News from DEDITEC: Dual stepper motor control for the USB bus.
The RO-USB-STEPPER2 is a USB-controlled stepper motor module designed for 2-phase bipolar stepper motors. A key feature is its microstepping capability. The step size can be subdivided down to 1/16 steps, allowing for exceptionally smooth operation and highly precise positioning.

The comprehensive Windows driver library (DELIB) provides a uniform and very simple way to control the modules. The practical graphical user interface, which allows for configuration of all stepper motor characteristics, ensures an easy start and offers, among other things, the following options: positioning control, speed control, start and stop frequency, maximum step frequency, acceleration and deceleration ramps, reference and position switches, and much more.

Linking up to four stepper motor modules will soon be possible, enabling motor control for up to eight axes in a virtual environment. The module temperature can also be monitored.

Communication between the module and the PC is handled via a galvanically isolated USB interface, which also enables cable lengths of over 100 meters. This isolation ensures that interference pulses generated by running motors do not affect USB data transmission.
