Ethernet interface with 64 TTL channels

DEDITEC is expanding its Starter series with the ETH-TTL-64. Up to 64 TTL I/O channels are provided via two 37-pin D-SUB sockets.
A reliable Ethernet interface (10/100 Mbit) enables sampling rates of up to 1 kHz, making it perfect for industrial use. The module can be accessed either via (W)LAN or the Internet.

The supply voltage can be between 7V and 24V DC. A top-hat rail mount is also provided for quick and easy installation in control cabinets.

Level shifters enable the detection of all standard TTL voltages from 1.5V to 5V. Sixteen TTL channels can be set to the corresponding driver voltage using jumpers or an external power supply. The TTL I/O direction can be configured in this module via software in blocks of eight.

TTL inputs

Each TTL channel has a separate 16-bit counter. In addition, rapid status changes between two readout cycles can be detected. The status changes and counters can be queried individually for each channel via software.

TTL outputs

The outputs feature timeout protection, which automatically switches off the outputs if the module cannot be addressed within a period of time defined by software (e.g., in the event of a connection failure). The maximum output current is 5mA per channel.

Ethernet interface

Thanks to its Ethernet interface, the module can be reliably accessed via LAN or the Internet. Especially in time-critical applications, customers often have no choice but to use an Ethernet connection.
DIP switches on the module allow quick configuration of network settings (DHCP or manual configuration via software).

Software and control

The comprehensive DELIB driver library enables uniform and very simple control of the module under Windows and Linux in the programming languages C/C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, C#, VB.net, Java, or LabView.
The open Ethernet protocol is also available for platform- and operating system-independent use. This allows the ETH-TTL-64 to be easily integrated into existing control systems with Ethernet access.
