An enhanced protection function for digital output modules now provides even more reliable protection against damage caused by communication failures between the control computer and the EA module. This is because the latest version of the DELIB driver library provides an enhanced timeout command. This gives all users maximum flexibility in implementing their projects. And it reduces the risk of accidents to an absolute minimum – for example, in the field of motor and valve applications. DEDITEC timeout protection has always ensured that motors are stopped and damage is prevented in the event of a malfunction by switching off all (relay, MOSFET, or DA) outputs. The new feature now allows you to specify exactly which output is switched on or off and which status should be ignored.
