E-CPU-1000 – ARM9 CPU Board with 64MB RAM, 256MB Flash, and FPGA
With the E-CPU-1000 module, DEDITEC launches its first series of embedded CPU modules.
The user benefits from the performance of a 32-bit CPU, combined with the convenience and functionality of Linux or Embedded CE — at the price level of a typical 8/16-bit microcontroller system.

E-CPU-1000 ARM9 Embedded Module
As its latest product, DEDITEC GmbH in Brühl presents a pluggable ARM9 embedded module that significantly shortens the development time for new applications.
Compact Embedded PC
All key components — including the ARM9 CPU, SDRAM, Flash, and even an FPGA — are integrated on a compact board measuring just 72 x 51 mm.
Powered by a single 3.3V supply, this energy-efficient module provides multiple interfaces such as USB, Ethernet, RS232, SPI, I2C, ADC, and more.
Two 100-pin Hirose connectors provide the interface to the baseboard.
Versatile Expansion via FPGA
A standout feature of the E-CPU-1000 module is the onboard FPGA with 5,000 logic gates.
89 FPGA I/Os are routed through a second 100-pin Hirose connector.
By default, 24 TTL I/Os and an external data/address bus are preconfigured.
VHDL code is available for interested customers, allowing the FPGA I/Os to be reprogrammed for tasks such as counters, PWM generators, SPI controllers, or even data encryption.
Wide Range of Applications
The module’s compact size and robust feature set make it ideal for mobile devices or Ethernet-based communication in industrial or medical environments.
Typical applications include: Measurement and control technology, Data acquisition, Ethernet/USB remote maintenance, Compact web servers.
Quick Start
A development kit is available for rapid prototyping, giving easy access to all interfaces via connectors.
The module comes pre-installed with the U-Boot bootloader and a fully configured Linux operating system.
