USB Module with 4 PT100 Inputs for Temperature Acquisition

The proven RO series from DEDITEC has now been extended to include temperature acquisition capabilities. The USB module RO-USB-PT100-4 offers up to 4 connection points for temperature sensors.

PT100 sensors can be used for temperature measurement and connected to the RO-USB-PT100-4 via either a 2-wire or 3-wire interface. The advantage of the 3-wire connection is the compensation of line resistance using an additional sensor wire, which allows for the use of longer cable runs while maintaining measurement accuracy.

Measurement is performed by an integrated 24-bit A/D converter, enabling highly precise temperature readings. Depending on the sensor used, the temperature measurement range lies between -200°C and 850°C. All input channels of the RO-USB-PT100-4 are galvanically isolated from one another and from the power supply.

The compact module, measuring 85 x 122 x 51.5 mm (L x W x H), includes a DIN rail mounting bracket, making installation in control cabinets and distribution panels straightforward. Power is supplied via the USB port of the PC.

The RO-USB-PT100-4 is available in multiples of four. This allows for easy expansion to 8, 12, 16, or more temperature channels.

Software

The comprehensive Windows driver library (DELIB) enables consistent and easy integration of the module into virtually all popular programming languages, such as C/C++, Visual Basic, Delphi, C#, VB.NET, and Java.

After installing the DELIB, users also gain access to a variety of preconfigured setup and test programs.
