Thermocouples
Thermocouples measure temperatures by generating a temperature-dependent voltage at the junction of two different metals. This voltage is recorded by our modules and converted into exact temperature values. Thanks to integrated cold junction compensation, they provide reliable measurement data even at changing ambient temperatures.
Plug connector
A screwless system from the manufacturer WAGO® Kontakttechnik is used as the connector. The 1-wire female connectors are 100 % protected against mismating and have an ejection and locking mechanism.
Easy installation thanks to DIN rail bus
Thanks to the practical NET bus connector, which is clipped into the DIN rail, individual modules of a system can be added or replaced very easily. This Plug'n Play principle makes commissioning easier for you and eliminates the need for tedious wiring.
LEDs
Each digital input and output has a separate LED that lights up when the signal status is active. The status of the operating voltage, communication with the interface, error events or the occurrence of a timeout can also be displayed.
Software and control for programmers
Our supplied DELIB driver library makes it easy to address the product via our API in almost all programming languages under Windows and Linux.
We offer support for the following programming languages:
- C
- C++
- C#
- VB
- VBA
- VB.Net
- Java

Configuration of CANopen modules
The CANopen interface is configured via the CANopen bus of the module and via three rotary coding switches located on the front of the module.
The upper and middle rotary coding switches determine the node ID, the lower one the baud rate.
Rotary coding switch
The upper rotary coding switch determines the high-order bits and the middle switch the low-order bits.
The lower rotary coding switch is used to set the baud rate, the following is a list of all settings:
Meaning of lower rotary switch:
| Value | Operating mode | Description |
| 0 | CANopen | Bitrate = 1000 kBit/s |
| 1 | CANopen | Bitrate = 800 kBit/s |
| 2 | CANopen | Bitrate = 500 kBit/s |
| 3 | CANopen | Bitrate = 250 kBit/s |
| 4 | CANopen | Bitrate = 125 kBit/s |
| 5 | CANopen | Bitrate = 100 kBit/s |
| 6 | CANopen | Bitrate = 50 kBit/s |
| 7 | CANopen | Bitrate = 20 kBit/s |
| 8 | CANopen | Bitrate = 10 kBit/s |
| 9 | CANopen | Autobaud + LSS |
| A | CANopen | Autobaud |
| B | CANopen Bootloader | Bitrate = 250 kBit/s |
| C | CANopen Bootloader | Bitrate = 1000 kBit/s, Node ID = 0x7e |
| D | CAN 2.0 A/B | Use settings from EEPROM |
| E | CAN 2.0 A/B | Bitrate = 1000 kBit/s, CAN ID = 0x100 |
| F | CANopen | Bitrate = 1000 kBit/s, CAN ID = 0x7e |
Control of CANopen modules
The CANopen modules are controlled via a so-called object directory. Standardized communication objects such as PDOs and SDOs are used for this purpose.
EDS
Select the EDS file for your module to load all the registers required for the controller.
Read register
Under the "Device Profile Segment" tab, you will find all the registers for controlling the module.
In register 0x6200 it is possible to write or read the states of the relays.
In the example, the status of the first 8 relays is read.
Write register
Under the "Device Profile Segment" tab, you will find all the registers for controlling the module.
In register 0x6200 it is possible to write or read the states of the relays.
In the example, the status of the first 8 relays is written.
Connection example THERMO_K:
Screwless connector system
The customer-side connection wiring of the inputs and outputs is carried out using screwless, pluggable terminal strips. The conductor connection is made using a so-called actuating tool.
A locking and ejecting mechanism facilitates the insertion and removal of the complete terminal strip.
Handling:
Steps 1-5
Step 1
See the scope of delivery for the operating tool.
Step 2
Insert the operating tool firmly into the side opening in the direction of the conductor connection.
Step 3
Now insert the stripped conductor into the open clamp contact.
Step 4
Pull out the operating tool again.
Step 5
Check that the conductor is properly connected. It should now no longer be possible to pull it out easily.
