DEDITEC and WIFI: Wireless communication in the WEU series modules
Optional use of the WIFI function in environments where wired communication is not possible or desired

WIFI communication
Whether in smart environments, with mobile participants or in applications where wired connections are not possible or would be too expensive: WIFI-based systems often make a certain configuration or test setup possible or economically viable in the first place.
DEDITEC modules in the WEU series support WIFI communication. The access time is 7 milliseconds, while the connectivity confirmation is signaled via the flashing behavior. As a multifunctional tool, the modules can also be used via Ethernet or USB, which makes them very attractive for multiple use, for example.
WIFI operation is activated/deactivated either by pressing a button on the module itself or in the ICT tool supplied. Depending on the desired function, the button on the module itself must be pressed for 3 seconds (activation), 7 seconds (start WPS) or 13 seconds to deactivate the WIFI. All DEDITEC WEU modules are supplied with a standard IP address (192.168.1.1), which can be changed very easily using the ICT tool. The standard gateway, subnet mask and DHCP option can also be easily changed in the UDP protocol.
The great flexibility of the application areas via three possible access types make DEDITEC WEU modules a smart must-have.
