In the following sections there is a description how to compile the project as "x86"
Show all settings
Open the options via menue "Extras -> Optionen"

The Configuration Manager
Open the configuration manager via "Any CPU -> Konfigurations-Manager...".

In the configuration manager select under der column "Plattform" "Any CPU -> Neu...".

Start debugging
You can start the debugging as normal via the "Start-Button". Note that the toolbar combobox for Platform Configuration now lists both "x86" and "AnyCPU" and has "x86" selected
