Interface Serial
Basis of the RO-Series is the interface. Enclosed you will find an introduction.
General
RS-232/RS-485-Interfaceanschluss (galvanisch getrennt)
Our RS-232/RS-485 modules have been developed for industrial use for measuring, controlling and regulating. The modules all have a RS-232/RS-485-Interface and can be easily connected to devices with a serial port (eg PC, PC terminal, etc.). The modules are connected via 9 pin D-sub connector to the PC or other devices connected to a serial port. The baud rate is 1.25 Mbps - 300Bit. The modules interface is galvanically isolated by optocouplers from the connected devices.
RS-232
When delivered, the interface module is in a standard RS-232 mode. The minimal form of the RS-232 (also known as EIA-232) consists of a transmit signal (TX), receiver signal (RX) and ground (GND). The data transmission is asynchronous.
RS-485
It is very easy to switch to RS-485 mode, by repositioning the jumpers. The RS-485 (also known as EIA-485) has multiple recipients.
