Information about control/feedback engineering modules
Infos
Using measurement modules allows you to control or readout digital in- and outputs. A range of applications from controlling lighting system, garage- or roll-up doors, till industrial digital measurement, controlling- or opperation systems are realizable.
With A/D module voltages and currents can be measured. D/A modules outputs voltages and currents for control tasks.
About control/feedback engineering modules
Digital-Outputs
Digital outputs are realized using reed-relays or optocouplers. Their use leads to a galvanic isolation between the control and load circuit . This e.g. avoids voltage peaks in the load circuit to destroy the sensitive control circuit. Additionally a potential separation is realized. Depending on the filed of application of the modules, such as for example in the medical field or in line-powered devices with safety extra-low voltage, this is indispensable.Digital inputs
The digital inputs are also galvanically isolated from the control circuit through optocouplers. By default, the inputs are configured to work with a voltage of 24V AC ausgelegt. Optionally 15V, 12V or 5V is also possible. As the inputs supports AC-switching currents, there is no need to take care about the connected poloarity. They extend the field of application.Analog inputs
Due to the A/D converters, it is possible to have a voltage as digital value. The conversion always lasts for some time, during which the input value must stay unchanged. The unipolar input range is 0..5V or 0..10V, the bipolar range is -5..+5V or -10..10V.Analog outputs
A D/A converter gives a digital value as analog signal out. In dependency of the D/A module, only voltages or voltages and currents are given out. The range is either 0..5V or 0..10V or respectively 0..20mA, 4..20mA or 0..24mA.The outputs are realised by using "Reed-relays". The internal structure of relays enable to do a galvanically isolation between control current and load current circuits. This way high voltage peaks will be prevented to protect the sensitive control module electronic from destruction.
